You haven't slept yet have you LOL.

Thanks for the input on the clear as I did a test patch using the same product but using a fine nap roller on the back of a 6M$M man I'm currently doing.

Be great if we could swap notes if you'd like. I'm up at kariong. Been here since '86

Only use satin clear not gloss or it will go yellow!

A few more pics. …. The shoes on the leg levellers, well I cleaned these up and left them on the legs. They were quite rusty and tarnished but the tumbler helped sort them out.

I put a close up of the backglass up. Those two old critters have got it worked out. …. They’ve got their moonshine in their shaving mugs and seem well content with life. Also on the RHS there’s a couple of people pushing someone’s house (or toilet) into the water. There’s people in the house!

I put in a close-up of the side of the cab. It shows some overspray on the blue and red. Because overspray is technically a ‘mistake’, then when it’s on a machine, it makes the machine less than perfect. This allows for other imperfections to disappear. If there is no overspray, then the eye will be drawn to other imperfections. The overspray allows things to not be perfect. …. perfect!

Finally, there’s a few pics of the apron and instruction cards. This makes the machine look finished and complete. I put the Instructions here, so if you read them, you’ll understand how to play this game.

One thing that makes a pinball game good to play is the “almost, but not quite” aspect, where even if you don’t win a replay (3 different Specials, Score, or Points), you somehow feel like you were ‘close’. When this happens, you are much more likely to stick another coin in, than when you play a machine that doesn’t hardly ever make you feel like you were close. This balance is very hard to achieve, and only the top 20% or so of games have this going for them.

Thank you good old days. I’m glad you got something out of it. … That’s what I was hoping for.

But, …. There’s more to this story. ….. While I was looking for a Daisy May to buy, I came across something truly amazing. The pics show a Daisy May with only 2 flippers, and it’s also missing some of the art in the lower playfield. So, this must be a proto-type, and it looks like Daisy May started life with a ‘normal’ flipper arrangement. What a rare, rare thing it is. Via a contact I asked Wayne Neyens about this, but he could not recall any further detail.

This Daisy May came with the other normal cabinet & playfield pictured. I was very tempted by the proto-type, but in the end I bought a machine with the best playfield I saw.

So, it seems the whole unique 4 Alligator flippers arrangement came about as some last minute adjustment. … an accident if you will.

If anyone wants more details about this, let me know. ….. but pretty amazing, far out even!63F23F73-3F43-4499-BDA9-690381031F70.jpeg.f3e390f0c2ebc6c741dc33a2a78a125b.jpeg2629533C-CD11-4FEA-A99D-728D33D3CF4E.jpeg.8282678575f731c05c3e69ea0879f93b.jpeg9DF235C9-D6F2-4588-9F88-DDD578DA486E.jpeg.6192999748e68ae06dde5cc2ca86872a.jpeg

Thinking about the game, I’d say the extra flippers were added to give more action to the 3 and 6, as well as the two kick out holes. … the cost would be minimal, as it runs by the same coil. … they were trying to improve game play, and boy, did they get it right with the 4 flippers. Daisy May is just a joy to play … it’s a players game… it surely is.
