Time Machine (Zaccaria) Flipper Issue.

LiveToRide

Question

Hey all, Long time lurker here. I have picked up a Time machine by Zaccaria that I'm having issues with. The flippers wont work when running through the test mode. I have replaced the coils, resistors, eos switches to no avail. The Coils have 3V upon the test sequence but they don't do anything from there. I rewired it exactly how it came but again it was un working so I don't know if someone has messed with it or not. Please see some photos below. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Note These photos are BEFORE I replace eos switches but wiring is still the same.20220515_160601.thumb.jpg.2c45e5ebcabc1c9c67a571e05e68b02b.jpg20220515_160617.thumb.jpg.c242b302852b8bcdc93f62242eb5d028.jpg20220515_160622.thumb.jpg.47defc92a19a9adcb474b02590e55c2b.jpg

could be the actual power supply - could be the ruined mess of end of stroke switches.    measure DC from the big purple double wire to ground

1.4V like the other coils. I've tried it with no eos switches and with them and still no luck

OK thanks Doug so I have gone over it again the fuse holder was a touch corroded so I've cleaned that up. I'm now getting 499 but still nothing. Also the other coils are sitting around the same 499 now so it could have also been the ground I was using for the multimeter.

I also found there was a wire not attached which from what I can gather it's the return/ground. I've since attached that but still no luck

Are you sure you know how to use a Multimeter & do you know the difference between AC, DC, Amps & Ohms? You start messing around with things you don't understand and you can do more damage to the boards than when you started.

Thanks for the advice. Yes do understand the differences, multimeter was new to me and I was of the understanding that the setting I have on the multimeter was auto rageing as in auto range for ac or dc. I have since learned that's incorrect and made me look silly. I'll retest it all again shortly and report back

OK so finally got back to have a look at this. Multimeter is showing 8.8V when the machines in attack mode and 6.5V in coil test mode. Although I think Ive figured out that the flipper coils are not actually in the test cycle from the manual. Bit hard to read. Im going to get it into play mode and see if the issue is resolved.
