Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Arcade

I never write these sort of (review type) things, but am completely compelled! I just want to also reiterate how brilliant the service and help has been from CQB. @xb74 has gone above and beyond to answer all my specific queries about Seimitsu joysticks with detailed information and photos to help! Having stock and knowledge right here in Aust is utterly awesome!

Thanks heaps!

Good evening, I hope everyone is going well.

I wanted to let everyone know that I am putting the finishing touches on another shipment from Japan. I am hoping to have it finalised in 2-3 days before I head on holidays.

Are there any specific or special order items, not currently on my website, people are chasing from the Sanwa/Seimitsu/Samducksa/KDiT catalogues?

Let me know via PM as soon as possible (or send me an email via the website).

Have a great weekend!

Another delivery of goodies from CQBArcade.com:

Also grabbed both volumes of the "World of Balltops" book which is a Japanese doujin catalog of various balltops, past and present. And a bag of the SEGA Candy Cab wire clamps that were requested to be stocked by a member here.

Really nice to have obscure genuine parts like that available, definitely going to grab another 20 or so of those as they really tidy things up "authentically".

Thanks for the close-ups. I missed the detail in the other pics you posted. Love the fluro  yellow and the nice finish of the ball top on the Virtua Stick. Those books look fun. Something to show non-arcade people and say “see…it’s a thing…it really is”.

Belated feedback but finally I don't have to awkwardly send spreadsheets to tops once a year, thank you so much for taking the plunge in providing us not just the bare essentials but the exotic odds and ends as well. Seeing you now stock kdit stuff warmed my heart as my attempts to wrangle stock off rs2006 didn't go so well, I would occasionally peruse the site with a defeated sigh.

Again, thank you. My quest to replace every single stick of mine with a LS-40 has been made that much easier.

I really appreciate those kind words and feedback, thankyou so much!

The candy cab looks great! Thanks for the photo - it is tremendous to see these parts in the machines.

I hope everyone is doing well. A minor update - I was able to secure some discontinued Sanwa ball/bat tops.

Of special note I am very proud to offer the Murakumo Arts products including the very well known, high quality JLF dust washer, the World of Balltops books and the authorized Sanwa Denshi POP acrylic fixtures.

I received another beaut parcel from CQB today. I ordered a few things and installed some of them this evening. I couldn’t resist the Murakumo Corp dust washers and Sanwa stand which I put in some Sanwa CQB buttons and ball top. I experimented with black and white versions of the dust washers and a new black bat top. I also installed a new Sanwa PCB. Everything is tickety boo. Thanks @xb74

That cab and CP is extremely impressive! @1.21 Gigawatts

I am very glad I could assist in some small way to compliment your fantastic work.

You made some great colour choices for the parts on the CP and the Sanwa stand. The lighting under the colours is next level!

Thanks for the kind comments. I’ve kicked a few more goals in the last few days on my Blast City as well. This one has all the control panel bits from your store, and I used quite a few cable tidies as well which I’m really glad you stock.

While these Game Wizard panels aren’t Vewlix themed and look busy, they come up okay with some tweaking. I updated this one with some blue and black buttons that I already had and then added some stuff I got from CQB Arcade - including the dust washer, 24mm blank caps for buttons not used and a couple of nice soft KDiT KINU ball tops. The Murakumo dust washers have a larger hole than the JLF shaft so I filled it out with an aluminium shaft cover.

Interest check:
Arcade/fightstick display stand.

These are handmade in QLD from a variety of woods and are able to withstand the height/weight of all the contemporary and legacy fightsticks.
The example here is Camphor Laurel.

I hope to offer pricing in the $60 - $80 region as I am still in the early stages of arrangements with the woodworkers.

Let me know if you even have a passing interest.  Thanks for your continued support. Have a great weekend!

Hoping you all are doing well and getting some games in!

Putting out an interest check for the JAMMA pin-out t-shirt such as seen at this link here from my friends at Murakumo-Arts:

JAMMA Pin Out T-Shirt - 叢雲商店 - BOOTH

The base shirt is United Athletic 6.2oz premium cotton.

I will have the option for a made-to-order arrangement for those interested. Approximately a 4 week turnaround.

The below colours are available choices for the shirt colour.

**The JAMMA pin-out print will always be in bright orange though, keep in mind**

Sizing is as per below (2XL and 3XL incur a slight extra cost of app. $6).

Cost I am hoping to keep under $40 per shirt (I will collate the orders for now as one lot so shipping costs are as low as humanly possible.)

Confirm your interest via a PM.

Thankyou and all the best to you all!

EOI - Joystick and ball top stand.

Very interesting and well thought out design, 3D printed and made in Japan.

Let me know if you are potentially interested or even definitely interested.

I would like to do a group buy and get these into peoples hands (Japanese and Korean lever versions available).

Price point will hopefully be in the $16-$24 range.

Thankyou and kind regards 🙂

@xb74 does the kowal short throw mod come with one or two spacers on your site? Cheers.

I’ll answer for him as I have multiple sets. But it comes with the two spacers and screws. With the octo it’s the best shmup stick ever!
