Yeah, I was just holding it there for the photo.

Not a huge difference here, but the left has a light clear coat to help the colours pop a little and protect. The paint on these is very delicate. NO abrasion at all when cleaning, just cloth and alcohol.

You can simply bend one wire sideways a little to reduce the chances of flakey contact.

Every socket gets a new bulb.

Coming together. Starting to feel real.

Mylar time. 

Mylar tape onto greaseproof paper.

Rough outline on a spare piece of paper. 

Test fit.

Transfer to Mylar. 

Cut out and fit.

This is the part where I cut off all the old GI sockets and solder to my new sockets. This is going to be a long process. Might be a couple of days just on this. Soak up some time waiting for final parts deliveries.
