Harness soldered back onto GI. Now "just" have to fit all the mechs and plug them in. And neaten up the wiring a bit of course. 

Plus fit new controlled sockets where required (waiting on delivery) and rebuild flippers (delivery again).

That is a far, far better built machine than what ever come out of the box. Attention to detail is amasing with some clever ideas thrown in.

Couple of things I noticed you may want to check.

The flipper cabinet switches look like tungsten tipped Williams. Maybe they are original, I'm just not sure but if they are tungsten tipped, swap for logic level gold contact units as tungstens will give problems.

And the other is your use of connectors. Great idea but make sure you cable tie them to the harness. Another manufacturer did do this but left the connectors and wires from the harness floating and the machine's vibrations combined with the connectors weight hanging freely caused the wires to fail at the crimps on the terminals, a lot.

They went on to tie the connectors on later machines and all appeared to work fine and remove the earlier problems but the idea was stopped a couple of machines later and I suspect to cut costs because it was a great idea.

Yep,  totally agree on tieing up those connectors to the harness. Regardless of how good my crimping is, don't want unnecessary load on there.

This might just work. It's not spring steel so is probably just going to bend, but then I could just put the round shiny bit over the old target. But for now..

I wasn't going to do this, but I believe all mechs were created equal, so even the humble rear lane diverter gets the treatment.

Yer, yer I know, "never lubricate a pinball machine". Been reading  and seeing that for years.........Put the smallest drop of WD40 where the spinner goes through the frame and then take a video.

Ideal time to see the difference while it's easy to clean completey off if your unhappy with the results.

Never checked the results with a micro switch activated spinner but the old school leaf switch spinners were good for about 5 times as many spins.

Done, sir. Spinner on the right is lubricated. Left has nothing.

I've been using the smallest little dob of Dri-lube on the spinners for years and it does certainly make a big difference.
