not sure if you're keen on keeping the serial numbers/letters, or just going to fill them, but using a very narrow jewelers screwdriver you can gently tap, going over the original letters/numbers to retain them.

not so hard that you lift the ply, and it is tricky doing the curves, but achievable.

I like Rich's Aluminium sheet idea to replace the horrible Bally metalic painted cardboard in the backbox. So much easier to work with than stainless sheet. You want it to shine like stainless, polish it.

.5mm thick would also means no sharp edges unlike the original Bally metal sheilding prior to the ridiculous cost cutting idea of metalic painted cardboard that just loves to bow and short against the back of your boards in extreme cases.

Going to put aluminium sheet in as per @Rich

Will need 535mm x 1020 or bit longer

Got this pic off pinside

If you want it looking real pretty, being aluminium means you could get the sheet anodized. Would look sharp but just how much of it you'll be able to see when all the boards are in, the tech sheets are put in place and how often the backbox is open for all to see is what I question.

Still, blue anodized aluminium does look outstanding..😉

If you know the exact paint formular there is a place in Milperra NSW that rattle cans it for you. Last ones I had done come in at about $25 a can and about $20 for clear. (2 years ago)

Probably not open ATM on account it is in Australia's most infected areas right now.

The back glass was the best part of this pin .

I had it stored in the bedroom. Lol

It has started to lift.

Not happy but will look for a replacement

They just don’t quite get the colouring right. My Paragon replacement was way better than the one I had in it condition wise but colour wise it was chalk and cheese.
