BPAC 2021 - Gone to the Dogs

Recommended Posts

Knowing things rarely run exactly to time, can we get an estimate on what time qualifying is intending to be over on Saturday for the BM comp @Lambo ? Want to see if I can catch up with some friends for dinner.

Maybe 8pm at a guess. Running off a similar time from 2019 minus the internationals :D

YO YO......WHAT'S THE GO....????:unsure

What is happening with the zipper passes and how are we getting it along with our swag of bits n bobs?

Also what is the first venue / event / registration time / and start time considering all the last minute changes? I just want to be sure to be sure to be sure...:cool::cool:

Sure there are a few wondering?:unsure

At this stage, there are 3 open play sessions avaipable from 5pm Monday 19th July, Tuesday 20th July and Wednesday 21st July.

Will be $10 to enter for unlimited arcade and pinball.

Yes you can eat and drink in the games area as restrictions should be eased by then.

Thanks for that. By free to play, I meant you know, all games open for non comp players.

Sadly I won’t be able to make those sessions, but I hope those who do have fun.

Fear not mates

The show must go on!!!!

Although restrictions extending for another week is an absolute kick in the guts for BPAC and the hospitality and events industry in general, it does not spell the end for BPAC.

Due to the enormity of the Brewdog event space we have the floor capacity to cater for near 200 people each day.

There will be two very clear rules though. The playing area will be food and drink free for the first week. The outdoor area, which by this time tomorrow will have several marquees, chairs, high tables and stools, will be the drinking and eating area provided you are sitting down.

Secondly, you will of course have to wear a mask unless you have a written exemption.

If you have any questions or concerns please shoot an email to gday@bnepac.org.

Keep an eye on the BPAC Instagram and Facebook as we will do a post on where to park, how to enter the space, where to collect your passes/lanyards etc

Brisbane Pinball Club at Netherworld will run with similar rules. No drinks in the game areas, you can have a drink whilst sitting at the bar.

Be safe out there mates.

See you tomorrow

Afternoon mates

Just under 4 hours until we open the doors to BPAC 2021!!

Bit of housekeeping for all ya'll.

Please allow an extra 15-30 minutes to arrive as there is a COVID testing facility on the same street as Brewdog so queues to the centre can inhibit fast entry times.

Park in the front car park and enter through the main entrance to Brewdog and be sure to sign in and have your mask on.

Head down the hallway on the right hand side of the bar to find the sexiest slice of pinball and arcade heaven on planet earth this weekend.

See the friendly volunteers at the check in desk to collect your swag bag and lanyard if you have a Spike pass or ticket to either Kong Off or Masters.

Then grab a beer and play your damned soul out.

Remember that the playing floor is drink and food free and we are in the process of setting up an outdoor area for all your needs. Out of respect to the amazing crew at Brewdog who have been incredibly accommodating with all our crazy ideas, we ask that you be extra vigilant with your masks, using hand sani and abiding by the wet and dry area rules.

Also across the weekend it is absolutely free for friends and family to come to the space to watch the event. If they want to play any of the available free play machines they must get a pink wristband for $10.

Be safe mates. See you tonight!!!!!!!

Hahahaha, thanks for the offer, but I am nowhere NEAR that good at DK. With a PB of just over 130 000, I won't be entering tournaments anytime soon :)

I will be there to drink beer and socialise.

Hmm beer, hopefully next year I can enjoy one with you

FYI.... regarding parking for the Big Bash event at Coomera

Unfortunately Westfield Coomera is not a free parking site. You can get up to 4 hrs free parking if they register their car in Westfield Plus apps. Link below.

https://www.westfield.com.au/westfield-plus

Then, you will need to pay progressively after the 4th hour. See the rates for members below.

https://www.westfield.com.au/coomera/parking

Non members only get 2 hours free so it is important to register to get a cheaper parking rate.

Alternatively, you can always consider parking over at the train station car park across the road if you like, however you risk being fined/towed.
