My bet to a workmate over the future of cars

If they made repairable machines rather than disposable appliances in the first place, I think everyone would be happier.

Are insurance companies going to be forced to insure high risk vehicles because they are saving the planet?

I'd say yes they will and we will all pay.

That's those integral battery packs causing issues again.

How many 1st owners will use insurance as a means to recoup there money when there vehicles batteries are near end of life?

Yes we really have to get next level (cheaper, more environmentally friendly) with battery tech.

I don't think many people are going to do what you are insinuating though, as that kind of fraud is a serious crime.

And still Danny pretends he doesn't notice, Up 22%...And while those statistics are shocking, I personally find clear cutting forests for wind farms not only counter productive since trees actually consume CO2, But destroying habibit for wildlife in the process appalling...Ya Dan hope you win this bet soon don't see much sustainability going on here.

In fact here is an article on the subject you can ignore Dan...Conspiracy in all its glory while you actively rally to outsource what's left of jobs.

And of course we don't want to forget Hanks cats with some ridiculous dog they can laugh at...Lol.

Lithium prices take a hammering -good/bad but EV a lot of that is to do with EV sales also taking a hammering, due to dealers offloading ice cars that won't won't meet new emissions standards. Presumably next year's models will and no more ice discounts for a while:

Not really as bad as headline suggests:

Admittedly, EV is right up supercar alley (other than lack of thunder) since most supercars aren't driven far anyway

Two totally different classes. You race like for like or not at all in any motorsport.

This motor sport is one of the only exceptions to the like for like I have ever seen......Jet engine VS ICE engines.....

Super modified tractors. Just shear brute ICE engine power by 4  X  V8 engines.

Love hearing those motors back off after the race.

Sorry Danny, I have no interest watching your EVs racing around sounding like a swarm of bees.

I have never actually seen a competition tractor pull up close and personal, but guessing that is pretty exciting...It seems curious how they just do thier thing without a seeming determination to win, as soon as it stops, they call it, in most other pulls I have seen (chaining pickup together) it is a knock down drag out fight of big farm boys with too much testosterone and shredded tires, not stopping until someone gets dragged across the parking lot.

Time of Dan's Octane Boost

Whati like about this sort of machine is what I call the Tonka Truck Tuff ' look. I frikken hate unnecessary diesel engines (that is, not for transport) but this is so cool I let it off. Strangely, the body has been totally restored, but then they paint it with a fake 'patina'. A Tonka Truck needs to be bright yellow in my opinion ☺️

A bit partial to anything with a proper ladder chassis under it.

Hearing quite a lot about EVs and just how nonrenewable they really are.

Interestingly it is out of Europe as they struggle to flex the rules to suit themselves and there own part of the planet.

I still have trouble understanding how bio mass is OK to use in a coal power station but coal is poison.?

Porsche making a substitute liquid fuel sounds like another such convenient change of heart.

So you can use bio mass.........wood......because it is renewable in the way of planting more trees but the stuff belches out smoke from the normally clean burning power station smoke stack?.

Amazing how this change only come about when the the EU realized without Poland's massive coal power stations to stabilize to German green energy, it simply won't work.

Makes me wonder how long it will take for the idiots here to realize green grid energy of all types still needs to be stabilized by large power stations somewhere in the mix.
