Possum Twilight Zone

My worry is there any chance of water travelling up inside the insulation and eventually corroding out the copper wire due to the caustic nature of dishwasher of washer tablets.

I'm not sure, just enquiring for input Rob.:)

Vid on pinside suggests this method and he's pretty well respected and experienced so am following that advice. Given I dry it in the sun I reckon chances are very slim of any issues down the track.

Thanks mate. I'll pluck up the courage to do it one day as I hate hand cleaning looms - its a pain in the A.

Not a lot happening with this as life is getting in the way...have started tinkering with the cabinet before it gets too hot and humid up here in North Qld.

So the original cab was shagged and beyond repair so am using an Indy cabinet instead.

Took to it with the orbital sander to strip the decals.

Now the front is a little different. Used the old TZ as a template and have to fill a couple of holes.

Got the young fella on the tools and holesawed a couple of holes and used the inner waste as a plug for the holes. Found a size that had less than a mm gap!

Glued them in then sanded flat prior to bogging.

I pulled my finger out a month or so ago and got it finished. Life then got too busy so didn't get around to writing it up. There were a few tweaks that were required after the first power up but nothing too major from memory. I did have to make a new light panel for the back of since the old one was swollen and toast.
