Sega game gear to a Zega mame gear

Apparently available for order (I viewed this on Facebook). The game gears are much easier to repair; I think you would be disposing entirely the original hardware going down this route, but it would allow for multi system (game boy series, Atari Lynx, NES, Sega Master System and Game Gear) integration and playability. The Pi is obviously powerful; you could run other system with some more buttons hacked into the case.

 

The lynx on the other hand would be an excellent candidate, especially the Lynx II. There are plenty of system with unrepairable PCBs that could benefit from a hardware refit. I've have a bunch of shells and spare parts PCBs - I would attempt something similar but do not have enough time.

Hi. I made this kit knowing that replica cases will soon be available from a UK company. So no need to destroy an original. I have a few original game gears but I always donate the original PCBs to someone who reconditions them.
