wiredoug
they’re worth what people are willing to pay. Your prices were over double what the last eight non working sales I had here have gone for. The upgrade is like $5. I get it that’s five bucks you might not be able to cover but maybe sell one lousy item for a realistic price and you can sort it Banging your drums and dumping it all gets you nothing. Pointless. Like this thread. Brad does a great job. Pay the man. Times are tough. Being a grumpy old bastard won’t help.
Super Moderator furballx Posted August 5, 2019 Super Moderator Share Posted August 5, 2019 No mate, you did not HAVE to srcap them, you CHOSE to scrap them. $5 donation to AA is a pittance to allow you access to sell your jukes, you would pay 10% of the sell price to move them on Ebay and $5 ONE OFF PAYMENT is too much. You remind me of a member we went through this with a few years ago...…..

wiredoug
i dunno your ebay sales seem to go ok? if you need help then ask for help instead of trying to out attitude everyone. we're surprisingly helpful. you would make more money dumping the lot into a container in one go at a "$x for the lot" price for any of the remainging jukebox techs than taking it to the tip. wiredoug
eBay sales... yep one every 3 months for only penny's fair enough but ask why ? theres about 8 of us left who care about this stuff and only 3 who can actually fix things. you wont sell 10packs of components much now. there are just no skills left to use them. The few who know the ifference between mica and paper know where to get them from already. the money is in repairs now. for component supply you have to compete with the fact we can lift them from hamburg or chicago or china and have them here in a day longer than adelaide takes. Administrators Arcade King Posted August 5, 2019 Administrators Share Posted August 5, 2019 for over 20 years i have been collection jukeboxes & refurbished many & made many very happy owners of a vintage machine for the past 5 years i have listed projects on eBay only for them not to sell :( so late in 2017 i started to thin out my collection , with last year (2018) i scrapped a total of 26 machines :o & this year so far i have scrapped another 8 i had a post here yesterday as unable to list in the for sale section & well A.A. does not even have a place to sell jukeboxes got a PM from Brad (moderator) telling me he pulled my post as in wrong place & i not have privileges....... :cry So i have decided to scrap the lot........ do not have money to buy privileges or time/money for storage !!!! You do have privileges to sell them in the for sale section I don't know what you're talking about :unsure You also seem to be knowledgeable in Jukes and should have no issue putting prices on them. There's no section for selling jukes because there's never been demand for it and the section that I put up for them hardly gets used.

Not so “new” to AA that is claimed. Wayne. This stuff isn’t rocking horse sh@t. People, including me, are buying offshore cos you are too hard to deal with and get offended too easy. If you chilled a bit and relaxed and helped people out bonefide instead off flaming them you would do so much better. Yes, your workmanship is awesome. A class. thatz amuzing
Not going to air dirty washing but... You did not make it clear it was rebuilt. The last one bought was as is. When questioned about it you got grumpy and told me not to contact you again so I haven’t. Again, cutting off your nose to spite your face. I told you I could have been a regular customer if you wanted... How about you hit the reset button and start again taking onboard the above feedback. As mentioned, pay the five bucks or 10 and get on with it. List what you have for reasonable prices and you might be surprised. To show no grudges am happy to spot the AA donation to get back on track...
wiredoug
eBay is Australia wide ... & Adelaide central.. so post = either East or West irrelevant to the point you would have to market the stuff further afield than "offering it to a local" to shift the lot for interest the last two jukes i picked up (non descript 70s junk) were about 300 each. its not the same playground as 2500 sales on ebay. but 10@ 300 is 3000 ... thats better than a poke in the eye with tip fees. the stuff is worth what someone will pay

Super Moderator furballx Posted August 5, 2019 Super Moderator Share Posted August 5, 2019 Hey Wayne, we went through all of this a few years back when you were Rockozla. How about this time you stick to helping people out and selling a few parts, and don't delete all of your content if you decide to bugger off again. It took me ages to re-instate it again from backups and that makes me cranky. The old rule still stands, we do not delete AA accounts. Now, please carry on. Fortunately for you the endless rant you have engaged in here has tipped you over the post count required to access the sale section. A smart man would now quietly sit back, stop playing the victim card, and sell a few FKN jukebox parts before his post count is magically set back to...….say...…..3 posts and he loses that access again. You smelling what I am cookin'? This is your chance at redemption right here and right now, all you need to do is chillax man!
hotty
It would be a shame if this site were to lose a guy with your knowledge and expertise. Some of your resto threads have been really good reading and if time and health are catching up with you then selling bits and pieces would be a good way to occupy your time. Sometimes you have to sort through the trash to find the treasure and in your case a few bucks on each item may well and truly amount to a lot of coin if you have thousands of parts to throw out. Guys like you are as rare as those beautiful jukes of 40's & 50's
Super Moderator furballx Posted August 5, 2019 Super Moderator Share Posted August 5, 2019 Wayne, if you want to sell your parts you must have a price on each item. The old thread as it stands is too vague regarding prices to be allowed under the rules. Just start again and sell your jukes and parts but please read the sale rules before posting.
