waali
Bunch of fixes and builds to support the main console. Pics below CPS2: New low noise fan wired to stock connector Atomiswave: Made the stereo out cable NES: Installed the NESRGB mod and I'm loving the clarity. On the down side I cracked it with the PPU removal and just cut it out and soldered new pins.:redface SNES: Started it up but was greeted with no sound. The sound mix chip (U10) was munted and the main cap was swollen. Bypassed the chip and replaced the cap, all good. redferatu
I'm pretty sure there was sound on that SNES, unless you're talking about a different one. Sent from my HTC 2PZF1 using Tapatalk

waali
OMG that SCART switch is a thing of beauty - I need one like it - where did you get it from? Thanks! The switch is full custom which I'm building as time permits. Parts came from all over... aliexpress, console5, element14, mouser, oshpark, altronics, jaycar, etc. Original idea from a user on YouTube, I'm using his pcb design and code with a few changes. felixthadog
https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/20351884/ Thanks. Are the shelves adjustable, or did you custom build it? Would it be strong enough to sit a CRT TV on it? Cheers, Matthew
waali
The shelves are a mix. I rotated one of the uprights and used one of the small side uprights to prop it up as per the earliest pics of the unit. Later I added custom shelving using 295x16mm melamine panel and shelving pins. CRT will have issues with depth. Weight I don't know, I'd be contacting IKEA customer service with that question. Thanks mate, I think the weight of the TV will be an issue on the IKEA Kallax unit. I do not have as many consoles as you do so I will just look for something sturdier. I would be interested in one of your swanky 12-port SCART switches if you ever decide to manufacture them ;) Cheers, Matthew
waali
Built the 12 port for the hell of it and wouldn't be making money out of selling them. If I had to do it again I'd just fork out for a W-Hydra2...
djcalle
Hey guys just to chime in on the weight the Kalax unit can support: I have had a 2x2 Kallax for the last 4 years wiith a 34" 80KG CRT TV on it, Kallax did not even break a sweat, the weight is evenly distributed along the width, no biggie.
