Details

1. Qualifying Rounds

Players will complete 2 rounds of 9 Pin-Holes.

Each Pin-Hole will consist of a pinball machine with a target score or achievement.

The number of balls it takes for the player to reach that target/achievement score will represent the number of Pin-Strokes

earned for that hole. (1st ball = Hole in 1, 2nd ball = 2, 3rd ball = 3, etc)

Should a player not reach the target score within the allotted balls (par), then

the par +1 pin stroke will be awarded for that hole.(3balls = 4 strokes, 5 balls = 6 strokes)

2. Machines Chosen

Tournament games will consist of 9 games.

The machines will be listed on the website so participants have time to get familiar with games and develop a strategy beforehand.

3. Order of Play

Players will be put in to groups of 2.

Players can try to stagger their start times as to play the holes from 1 - 9. Then 10 - 18.

Players will be given sheets to keep score on, preferably a 2 player score sheet to keep the same partner.

Partners can change at the end of 9 holes.

4. Extra Balls

All attempts will be made for extra balls to be disabled for all machines.

Should a player earn an extra ball, they will play it as part of the same Pin-Stroke on that particular Pin-Hole.

Rulings and Malfunctions

All rulings and malfunctions will be based on the rules for the IFPA World Pinball Championship.

2 Strike Swiss Style Bracket

Each match up of 2 players play a best of 3 match on their selected machine. If you lose you get a strike.

If you lose your next best of 3 matchup then you get another strike and are out.

If you win your match up then you keep progressing through the draw until such time you have 2 strikes and are out.

The winner will be whoever is left at the end with less than 2 strikes.

The draw will be used on the brakelope format and in swiss mode.

Swiss mode matches players of the same amount of wins together.
