Red Defender

Arrived yesterday around 4 pm from Adelaide thanks to @Bet7676.

Totally gutted the cabinet and installed a new jamma harness and arcade PSU.

I had a control panel for it which I’ve overhauled with new customized overlay and joysticks/button.

Monitors works perfectly.

Installed new side decal and Taito sticker next the speaker.

Cabinet does have wear and tear due to its age.

Only thing I need to do is install a new flouro and a starter.

It will be for sale in the near future but if interested Atm just pm me.lol

Nice cab sir. New PS and jamma harness excellent.

As for the fluro I think it is hard to beat twin low wattage CFL bulbs. One will do but two have better light spread more like a fluro.

I have an original Taito fluro panel with tombstones, ballast and starter if you need it but the reason I have it is because I did the above myself as the type of starter required is critical with the standard fluro setup.

Unfortunately that is not my signature on the title plate so not one I personally assembled.:cry

I have three blank plates which I’m waiting on overlays.

Ive kept the original Taito flouro in there which Ive run out of flouro tubes and starter but I will install later on when I get the chance to buy them today sometime.

Gorf by Midway

Project restoration.

Classic arcade machine.

Internal complete.

All boards been tested and working now.

Fired up and can play the game blind due to no video signal picture on monitor.

Checked all the wiring from the Rgb interface board to game board which was the issue.

Cleaned the connection plug and bingo the game fired up on the screen.

Only issue is missing red color but there’s is write up of how to fix it which I will do in the near future.

All I need to track down some standard 120v screw in household globes to finish off the project.

Space invaders deluxe by Midway

Another project I’ve started.

Cabinet is in good condition for its age.

Completely gutted the internal wiring and parts.

Removed the original b&w monitor and installed a kirbside tv that I had while I was hoarding them with a Universal Jomac Chassis.

New psu/jamma harness installed.

Installed a 60-1 pcb board to boot only to Space Invaders for now.

Need to convert the flouro ballast from 120v to 240v.Only one to light up the back for the half moon.

Complete overhauled the internal with new parts.

Last thing I need to do is the control panel with a new overlay which will complete the project.
