The Stooges - The Stooges

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin I

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

All as fresh today as the day of their release. Could throw in 'MC5 - High Time' too but I'm pushing it already.

As far as an Australian release,

The New Christs - Distemper

Pink Floyd - the division bell

Also I really enjoy country music (knowing that a lot of people don't ) and a cracker is Keith Urban - The Ranch, some insane guitar playing on that one.

Too hard to narrow it down to 1 album, i could probably list 50 if i had the time.

Sound Garden - Superunknown

Jimi Hendrix - The Ultimate Experience (although kind of cheating cause its a compilation)

The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

Almost anything by the Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk

Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend

Fear Factory - Obsolete

Kings of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak

Nirvana - In Utero

The Killers - Hot Fuss

Band of Horses - Cease to Begin

Kanye West - Late Registration

Jay-Z - The Grey Album (a remix by Danger Mouse of the black album with the beatles white album)

Interview with the Vampire Soundtrack

Tron: Legacy Soundtrack (wait, isn't that just a Daft Punk album in disguise, and wasn't Tron Legacy just an extended Daft Punk film clip ;))

Oh, and most classical music especially anything gothic and if it has a choir .... fark me :D

This was at the start of Interview with the Vampire and is what got me into classical music in the first place, I nearly shit my pants when this played in the cinema around the 1min mark - maybe because I was 16 and impressionable, but this is the BOMB!

Wow... so many to list... but here's a good start:

Metallica - Master Of Puppets

Megadeth - Peace Sells...

Anthrax - Among The Living

Slayer - Reign In Blood

The Haunted - The Haunted

Radio Birdman - Radios Appear

Carcass - Necroticism: Descanting The Insalubrious

... and I'm sure there's many many more.

Tough call, cos' it seems some albums do it for you at certain times and not others. If I had to pick one it would be Judas Priest's Stained Class.

Halford really screams on this album and I think he never sounded better.
