What retro stuff did you add to your stash this week?

Something different and way old retro

 

out sussing kerbside in the older generation area of town since due next week

 

shed fresh and needs a good clean. Found a pile of about dozen reels (new and used). Too cool to leave to trucks or locals cutting cords. Large player has lid still just not pictured

 

one tape is marked bathurst 1960 so be cool if still on there

 

atm airing out the smell as they were in original boxes but mice had a fun time on the boxes

Got a response to a wanted advert on fb marketplace for old pcs

 

guy dropped this lot over and has more due to recently clearing out an old office he said. So hopefully more treasures and games appear

That's a nice disk drive mate very well built too. I got one with my Beebs.

Same marketplace person msg me again yesterday asking would old magazines be of interest and would drop off

 

just got home from work and gotta buy this guy a carton.

 

 

so much nostalgia advertising to absorb

My son had his first soccer match today due to covid 19. Havent been to a game in about 5 years due to a few life matters in the past

 

and after the game since thought travelled out that way id suss out the tipshop since being back open post covid

 

spotted this box bottom of a shelf and cant wait to go thru it all at home

Box emptied. Pretty stoked with it all. Will be firing up the p2 i reckon to try some

 

i like the shop shareware disks. Only ever recall shareware on magazines but these appear to be purchased

Took a punt on a gumtree ad for what was described as a Sony Pro Feel 27 monitor. Pictures were terrible, but it was in actual fact a Sony 2730QM

 

I was expecting maybe a thrashed ex studio monitor with many thousands of hours of use, which I would still probably buy anyway.

 

To my surprise, the PVM looked brand new. The seller said they bought it brand new back in the day, as his father did a little bit of video editing back in the day. He reckons it did about 100 hours of work, was used for watching dvds for a little bit and sat in storage for a long time.

 

So I picked it up, complete with speakers and Sony stand. Really happy with this one!
