Super Moderator Foot Posted August 13, 2008 Author Super Moderator Share Posted August 13, 2008 Righto leg bolts painted, new caps painted and installed, new feet whacked on and legs installed. New glass didn't look right without the painted lines so here it is masked up ready for painting http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s218/DerekFoot/Legsfitted.jpghttp://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s218/DerekFoot/NewGlassmasked.jpg To be continued.. Super Moderator Foot Posted August 14, 2008 Author Super Moderator Share Posted August 14, 2008 Finished! I stenciled the white "Coin Slot" on the glass and then painted in the back. Not too shabby, glass is hard to paint on. I whacked the glass and the clips I made on last night. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s218/DerekFoot/Finishedglass.jpghttp://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s218/DerekFoot/Finishedglass1.jpg And here are a couple of finished Pics. Made my first post on this cab on the 18th August 2006! http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s218/DerekFoot/Finishedcab2.jpg The "stained look" won't be everyones cup of tea but it fits in really well with the pool table and the colour scheme in the room http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s218/DerekFoot/finishedcab.jpg I played my first full game on it last night, Galaga Rocks!

MetalSkin
She is a cab of beauty mate, a real rip snorta of a job you've done there. You should be proud as punch! I hope mine comes out half as decent as yours.
opm881
looks dam great mate. I think the stained wood looks perfect, like its out of the factory. Great job. Now i gotta get me one to do up :P
biggeorge
I love it mate. The colour and finish of the stain really sets it off. Just a couple of things. Firstly: All THAT for one friggn game??? WTF? Secondly: Did you keep a copy of the templates you made with the copy-cutter router? 3rd..... One button???? 4th... One game??? Damn. Can I come around and carve "I Love Jason" into it to make it authentic? Also gotta pour a milkshake into the speaker grill, kick the mesh and the coin slot surround till it's inside out and fill the coin slot up with bubblegum. Then it'll look finished. narf_
nice i like the one button combo. those CPs used to be a one button setup on FROGGER :o i have a 1 button 2 way cocktail and plan to leave it that way. Not everything needs to be multi gamed these days.
Super Moderator Foot Posted August 14, 2008 Author Super Moderator Share Posted August 14, 2008 Yep all this for one game, There's more to life than MAME and Mutil boards ;) No templates, all marked and measured. Plans are in here somewhere One button - Galaga doesn't need two  One game - couldn't think of a better game

Mickey Juice
Hey Foot, I want to get a piece of glass for my machine, which means I'll be painted the lines on the same as yours... Is the glass you got tinted? or just clear? and re: the CP's. I assume you remade the originals? How so?
Super Moderator Foot Posted August 20, 2008 Author Super Moderator Share Posted August 20, 2008 The glass is clear, same as the old one. CP's ? Not sure what you want to know My crush roller CP's had two buttons and I only wanted one, so I isued them on my $50 cocktail. I Picked some other original ones up off Narf, sanded them back and just painted them
Mickey Juice
My crush roller CP's had two buttons and I only wanted one, so I used them on my $50 cocktail. I Picked some other original ones up off Narf, sanded them back and just painted them ahh ok, you used originals. I saw the crush roller ones on the $50 cab thought you might have re-made them from scratch for this project.

Mickey Juice
Another question mate, what were the dimensions of your glass? I want to get some cut for mine.
Super Moderator Foot Posted January 15, 2009 Author Super Moderator Share Posted January 15, 2009 807 X 602 X 5, but I'll double check tonight for you
Mickey Juice
Thanks. I'm still deciding whether to get it tinted... I know the original was clear, but wouldn't mind it tinted/smoked. Not sure how the painted black lines would look. Probably mentioned earlier in this thread, but what paint did you use on the glass?
