Question
pheff
Hello,
I recently acquired a restored but not fully funtioning Rock-Ola 1442. It is one beautiul juke. Anyhow, I got it all working fine but sometimes, mostly with the odd sides, the cancel solenoid plunger won't return to rest when the record is playing and causes the same record to be played. I adjusted the Cam grip limit switch and when I put a meter on the solenoid there is no juice going to it - meaning that the solenoid is not energized. The plunger just seems to stick.
I have also taken the cancel solenoid out and cleaned the inside of the solenoid and the plunger. The plunger spring was pulled from another machine.
Could it be that the carriage is misaligned? Has anybody else seen this before?
This issue is driving me crazy.
Thanks,
Paul, Elkridge, MD USA
