Games can be played on the arcade machine. You must ensure the game is at the MGL game settings for the submission to be valid.

OH! OH! OH! VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Wait until you see the High Scores board, or catch your score as soon as you die, or as you are entering your initials if you are certain you've scored enough to make the High Score board (default minimum is 31000).
If you wait until the Continue / Insert Coin screen, your score reverts to what it was at the start of that level.

e.g.

Score at start of level...

 

Score at death (final score achieved)...

 

Score at signing (still OK, final score achieved)...

 

Score at Continue / Insert Coin screen... TOO LATE, so wait a little more...

 

High Score board... OK, assuming you've scored enough to register!

I don't think so. but It does gets treacherously hard such that whether or not it has a fixed number of levels seems moot.

Lord AxE is the only player I know who has beaten the second Master Xybot!
"Master who and what now?" I hear you ask... well, just you wait!

Here's an absolute fluke from games past which I may obsess about repeating... meh, it'll never happen again!

No sir! The first boss is on level 15 and then the same boss reappears every 10 levels thereafter, but the reward for beating it each time, increases by 250,000. i. e. 1st boss: 250,000, 2nd boss: 500,000, 3rd boss: 750,000 etc. FYI, no one to the best of my knowledge, has ever "beaten" the 3rd boss to reap the 750K bonus. Only one player that I'm aware of, has beaten 2 bosses in the same game, on two seperate roms, and has a scored over 1M in the process. My pb is 514,800.

I've known of this game but never actually played it and I often get it confused with Xenophobe. I always thought the game looks so janky, but thanks to this tournament I've now given the game a proper try and I absolutely love it! I can't stop playing it. That's why I love tournaments. I'm "forced" to play games I wouldn't normally play and sometimes I will get surprised. Last year it was Pepper II. I knew of that game but never played it, and again, I was "forced" to play it for the tournament and I just couldn't put the game down.
