legin
Hi All There seems to be a war in the colour DMD world and I am a little confused about what to install At the moment all of my colour dmd files are pal/vni files except for one. I have freezy 1.10.2 installed along with lucky1's dll files to allow the pac format to work. I only have 1 pac file. Currently all of my colour roms work If I install the new Freezy 2.0 can I still run my old pal/vni files along with pac and the new Serum format? JoeSoap
it's backward compatible and really adds new support for editors and in the future real pin support. For those wanting to update. https://github.com/freezy/dmd-extensions/releases

If I install lucky1 dlls will the pac files work as well as the vni/pal and serum files? I really wish Lucky1 and Freezy would get together, have a hug and sort their shit out

OzStick
You have come in at the right end of this - Freezy and Lucky1 WERE at loggerheads for a while there, however for the sake of sanity and the VPin community they have now patched things up. As a result we are beginning to benefit from their combined skill and colourised DMD output is now going forward in leaps and bounds. Make sure you grab the latest version of the PIN2DMD app as well as DMDExt *AS RECOMMENDED BY LUCKY1*, install as instructed and you should find that PAC, VNI/PAL and Serum files all work through the same process. Be sure to also update to the recommended install of VPinMAME and then you should be sitting pretty. Edited March 12 by OzStick

I've downloaded the latest Vpinmame 3.5, the latest lucky1 files which support all of the colour formats and freezy 2.0 I cant find the PIN2DMD app. What is that? I also cant find any instructions. I assume I need to install the latest VPinMame first, then freezy 2.0 and then patch lucky1's dll files
legin
I ended up updating and the new serum file on scared stiff looks great. Tron on the other hand doesn't display correctly, its legible but it doesn't look right. I re downloaded the colour file and the ROM, no luck To update I installed VPinMame 3.5, both x86 and x64. Run the install on x86 Installed Freezy 2.0, updated DMDdevice.ini Installed lucky1's dll files from this file: dmd-extensions_with_pin2color_and_serum_plugin.zip. Downloaded from VPU All of my other colour ROMS are working. We'll see if my installation is OK when more serum files come out, hopefully the Tron one is a once off
