Just to confirm as I've spoken to people who weren't aware - the EventBrite Ticket does NOT get you into Ekka showgrounds correct (this information is on page 5 of the thread, not the front page)?

Eventbrite ticket must first be taken to Netherworld Fortitude Valley and exchanged for a Lanyard (from Tuesday 30th July).

And ... as a follow up question for interstate players who won't be onsite until the day of the event, both tasks can be achieved in the same day? (as in, lanyard swap doesn't HAVE to happen day/s in advance?)

Cheers,

Mates! Please pardon a bit of shameless self-promotion, but I’m headed back to Brissy in a month and wanted to let you all know about my new venture, Soft Plunge Pinball! Here are some photos of my offerings. Full range is up on http://www.softplungepinball.com

If you order online before 7th August, you can select FREE Brisbane Masters pickup as your shipping option and avoid high international shipping rates.

Can’t wait to see you lot! Yep that's correct. This information also written on the eventbrite event description of every ticket sold.

All event tickets, lanyards, pre-purchased merchandise, swag bags and gate entry passes must be collected from Netherworld prior to heading to the showgrounds. All items can be collected from Netherworld from Monday the 5th of August.

The barcode from each gate pass will be logged to the relevant competitor so gate passes can not be sold, swapped and if lost can be easily cancelled and replaced.

You will only need to do this once. All gate passes will be in your showbag.

You can collect from Netherworld anytime from 9am to 11pm from the 5th of August until the 18th.

  • 3 weeks later...

I wandered past that when I was at the Ekka last weekend. Outstanding selection of craft brews and it seems like the beer is the only thing at the Ekka that is not obscenely priced. It was $9 for a schooner, which is standard craft beer prices when you go to a bar these days. I'm not saying it's cheap, but at least it doesn't have the usual insane Ekka markup.

$5 for BPAC players is a stellar deal.
