raysco
I have a few projects on the go and one of them is missing some ball gate wires. I have the gate brackets. Does anyone know where I might buy the same wire to make some myself ?

0 ajfclark
Yeah, I've used both music wire from hobby shops and SS tig filler rod from a welding place. Both work fine.
0 hotty
use the wire from an old toaster that holds the bread in place (not the filament wire)
0 Autosteve
I never considered you could buy these things because of the variety they come in. Piano wire from the hobby shop has always and always will be my approach. Also for rollover wireforms. There is one gate on Bally's Paragon that always fell off. It simply wasn't the right shape for the role it played. In a pinch you can use a paper clip but it is short term. The wire is to soft.

I think you said you had the metal piece for the top?. Take it and size the wire to suit the hole. The stuff is only a couple of bucks for about a meter length and comes in heaps of sizes. Grab a couple and just start shaping it. You can use pliers but I found a terminal crimping tool is perfect.
