I don't play my LE as much as I would like (time constraints) but it is one of the best things I have bought in a decade. So glad I forked out the cash.

Dave

And that's the great thing about it Ferbs, it's there when you can and want to play it.

How much and where for the daichi cs100? They have an excellent frequency range for a subwoofer, going up to 8kHz. They look the biz

WES Components

Last time I looked the office was at Hashfield , Ashfield NSW

Catalog link should show address ?

They are a good woofer about 80 bucks

Worth it I think, although nothing beats a correctly set up external active sub :)

Internal sub upgrades are good as I've bought a few Pinball Pro and Flipper fidelity kits over the years but I found they made the glass and other parts rattle too much at a high volumes.

Moving to also having external subs has been a huge upgrade in my opinion as the bass is even one step better but less rattles and annoying vibrations.

Pinnovators sub out kits and a decent external sub on top of a decent PP or FF kit is where it's at.

And Iron Maiden still rocks !!!!!

Thanks, Ando. The 4 or 8 ohm version, what is best for modern sterns?

Do u do a straight swap with the internal speaker or do u put it on spacers or a cutout?

Hi all,

In preparation for getting an Iron Maiden pinball in the future, I bought a custom topper from the U.S. The creator said he supplied the power cable for our region. Can any owner confirm that this is correct? It's not a normal molex connector.

Thanks!

Adam.

Hey Ando,

It was the custom interactive topper from a Pinside user in the U.S.

Man I love that topper, Shits all over the Stern one !

What did he say to connect terminals too ?

The instructions have a picture showing that you have to unscrew the housing where the fuse is in the bottom right hand corner of the backbox and there's a spare connector.....I'm just trying to find out if any Australian owners have those terminal points.

This might be of interest to Iron Maiden owners here.

Up until now the "Up The Irons" competition was only available to those in the USA and Canada.

During the Stern Army tournament on Dec 8+9 held at the Australian Pinball Museum you have the opportunity to enter the "Up The Irons" competition.

Looking at the highscores listed here on this site there are quite a few who could potentially win a prize.

It would be so cool for an Australian to win.

So after having owned Maiden LE for a while now an issue has finally arisen with the upper loop opto.

It's only registering half of the upper loops shots off the top right flipper.

So my question is, is the mezel mod that supposedly fixes it worth it or is there another easier or cheaper way to fix this issue ?

Any info appreciated and this game still Rocks !!!

Yeah mate,

Try to move the TX opto to narrow the beam.

I purchased the spacer kit from RTBB as a backup but have not had to use it yet :)

And Yes Maiden rocks big time, you are a wise man for hanging onto this most awesome pinball.

I look forward to battling the beast !

OK Smithy, I'll bite, how are those plastic bits supposed to help the optos recognise loop shots?

No problem with mine so far.

Well that was my thought as well Dave. How can that help ?? It's just a bit of plastic.

It's only a problem not registering on the really fast loop shots, I think the ball rides up on the ball rail a little and goes just over the opto.

Have a mate coming round tonight with a big dollar slowmo camera so will be able to pin point problem a little better then hopefully.
