bubbadad
I picked up a arcade about 2 months ago i wondering why the ac earth is mounted on the foot of the power supply instead in the FG terminal anyone seen this before?
0 channelmaniac
FG terminal is isolated a bit from the foot. I've always been told to connect AC ground to FG and not the foot. It's to protect you in case you get a hot/neutral or hot/ground wiring reversal.
0 mrjamma
My lai cab has the AC earth going into Fg on psu. Then from that same fg psu terminal it has 2 wires branching out. One to the foot of the psu and one to a pole on the power distribution steel casing. That pole is like a central location for earths to meet. That pole has various earths bolted to it which branch out to various areas of the cab e.g. steel hinge on credit door, bottom side of steel control panel, and couple other areas. Looking at other cabs pics seems to be done at factory in this manner (FG on psu then back out from there to foot of psu)
