EPROM eraser power supply question 240VAC?

taito

Question

My EPROM eraser from China just arrived.

Here it is!

ERASER.jpg

just got to cut off the power cord and put on an Australian plug yeah? Anyone purchased this brand? @Kaizen could you translate maybe what's written on the case?

I gleaned add on ebay and it said...

110-240V 6A

So I guess I'm good to plug it into 240V? I opened it up but no indication inside of what the small pcb powering the lamp would talk so I guessing I'm good to go? Just had to wait two week for this... want to make sure! :o

Cheers Guys!

P.S. If anyone want one... you better get it quick!

Quantity remaining: 5,000

I use a step down transformer with mine - didn't realise it was 110 - 240v. I must say I don't like being too far away from mine when it's on, I just don't trust the safety of cheap units like these.

Probably the clever thing to do, running it with a step down. Not confirmed yet.. either way.

Had a couple of people confirm this model is good for 240V so I powered it up and all good! :)

Thanks guys!

First lot ready to go!!

Woah! All wiped. Half of these only took one run of about 10-15 minutes.

Others took a few extra goes, 10 minutes at a time.

Several already programed for various projects.. Spacey.. Tron and Spy Hunter. I'm seriously enjoy this!

And the Mitsubishi's with the raised window, as predicted by @Womble, hardly any change after 23-30 minutes. So they're going in the bin.
