Never cared for DoT. Always liked the original one though. An arcade near me BITD had the environmental DoT when it came out. I've always been bad at games like that (DoT, Arkanoid, Breakout, etc) trying to anticipate the angles of the ball/object coming at you :cry

That's OK, they are all tough games. Breakout and Arkanoid are very hard to be good at. They both have a paddle, and in Arkanoid's case a button as well. DOT adds to this combo a stick, elevation to the paddle, and another button for the shield. Plenty of gadgets to play with ... :024:

I think I read somewhere that DoT was supposed to be part of the first Tron arcade.

Yes that is correct. The DOT game play did not make it into the Tron release, so a separate game was released. I think Tron with 4 games is plenty and the 5th which is very different in the look and feel of Tron is better served as DOT ... :D If I were Bally Midway back then, I'd also like a separate release title for more revenue and excitement than an all in one. DOT required normally 2 coins to play the game. Tron only 1 coin.

Rules question:

Is it OK to play a 2 player game and submit the highest score?

As an example, for Galaga, if you play as the 2nd player only, then it is OK. This is done so the million digit will show. In any game if you play the 2nd player only that is OK. But playing 2 games at the same time is not allowed. Some games allow player 1 and player 2 to play on the screen at the same time together. To avoid this issue and simplify verification, please only play 1 single game without continues from the beginning of the game. I hope that helps. :)

Well I can now say that I submitted a score for every game this time.

Not great or even good scores but still a score for every game.

That's an accomplishment in itself. And also into the Mystery Prize Draw. Everybody out there in the real world has plenty to do. It's here in the virtual arcade where you can choose to gun it, walk it, just make it or take it easy when you play. That spells fun for everyone.

I was recently in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA) and came across this Barcade called Up and Down.

Two floors and most games in great working order including a working Q-Bert kicker, cocktail Track N Field, Popeye and others.

Probably one of the better ones I’ve been to. They also had this 10 player game called Killer Queen which I had never seen before.

Unfortunately, no Sky Kid or PacLand.

You were in Packers territory. Interesting. Killer Queen has got some great overhead monitors, big enough for a crowd to enjoy.

Did you buy a shirt while you were there? Or maybe have a game of Mario Bros? I saw this on their website.

And no everyone, I did not photoshop the image :018:
