Arcade Strikes Back (Mini-Match Play) - Wed 13th May @ Pincadia

Mini-Matchplay comes to arcade for the first time (ever?)

 


  •  
  • 4 Players will shotgun start, maximum time limit is 10 minutes per game. Players will score 7 pts for 1st, 5 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd and 1 for last. Groups of 3 will be scored 5 pts for 1st, 3 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd.
     
  • Dependent on numbers, all players will play in a maximum of 10 matches or 6 matches minimum.
     
  • The last round of matches will be timed so that everyone has played the same number of games and finishes as close as possible to 10pm

  • Donkey Kong Jr

  • Burger Time

  • Mappy

  • New Rally X

  • Qix

  • Mr Do's Castle

  • Pinball Action

  • Super Pac-man

  • Jumping Jack

  • The End

  • Donkey Kong 3

  • Shao-Lin's Road (Kicker)

  • Pac-Man (Turbo)

  • Space Invaders

 

Each person may vote for a maximum of 4 games. Tie breaks to make up the 10 games will be decided by random chance. To vote, just list the 4 games you'd like to play (please only vote if you are considering/definitely attending) in this thread.

 

Doors open at 5pm. Games on freeplay for practice until 6:30pm when we start.

 

This round forms the first of 18 rounds that will be played every fortnight at Pincadia on every 2nd Wednesday night.

 

Round winners will automatically qualify for inclusion of an end of year final. Points will be awarded to each player who attends a competition in a similar style to Formula 1:

 

1st place - 25 points; 2nd -18; 3rd - 15; 4th -12; 5th - 10; 6th - 8; 7th - 6; 8th - 4; 9th - 2; 10th and lower - 1 point.

 

Players with the highest accumulated points who do not win one of the 18 rounds will be included in the grand final (date tba) where 20 players will battle each other as the Arcade Strikes Back champion for 2019 - Date TBA

 

$15 for competition entry, prizes for the top players as well as a random door prize.

 

Bring a friend who hasn't played before, and they can join in the fun for only $5.

Some additional information that I neglected to mention...

 

Players who compete in 12 or more of the 18 rounds this year (first round in 2 days) will all receive a special gift (more information to come) for their support of arcade gaming in Brisbane and Australia.
