If it's glass over the top of the screen then a squirt with window cleaner and a good wipe with a cloth will do.

If it is acrylic over the top of the screen then DO NOT use window cleaner - use a microfibre cloth dampened with water then wipe over with a dry microfibre cloth after that.

If you need to clean the surface of the monitor/TV itself then once again, use a micrfibre cloth that has the least amount of water possible on it and WIPE the panel gently - DO NOT RUB!
