Needed: Source for retrace cap

taito

Question

I know you can get cap kits for chassis, but I need a retrace timing cap, or safety cap. It's .01uf or 10,000pf and it's rated at 1000V.

Being the retrace cap, I dare not throw any old cap in there for good reason.

It's an axial and about 10cm long or 3 1/2" it's a bit thicker than a pencil.

It's for the old B&W valve TV chassis.

Where do I get one of these?? Anybody know? Thanking in advance. :)

Hey cheers soyl. Much appreciated. :)

Ah, just checked and I need .001uf, so 1000p 10%1kVW :redface

@soyl could you make some suggestions on that size please.

I've found that there are two Voltage ratings. AC and DC listed on the site. There are plenty of 1000V DC rated film caps but they're only rated around 250V AC. I think this is enough as one end of the cap is connected to the junction of the flyback primary and the Horizontal Yoke, so it's going to see more than 250V AC? I'm guessing 700-850V AC
