As you can imagine, an event of this scale will require quite a number of machines for the 10 day duration. We are looking for machine owners who are happy to donate the use of their games for that time. Your machines must have a working coin mech fitted that accepts $1 coins.

Bump in and out times will be advised soon.

Games when not used for tournament play will be set to pay-per-play at $1 per game. Breakdown of takings will be as follows:

* Owners - 50%

* Ekka - 40%

* BPAC - 10%

Owners who provide 2 or more machines will also receive free entry to either the Brisbane Masters or Classics Matchplay event.

If you are willing to provide any machines for the 10 days, please email Jason Lambert at dj_j2008@hotmail.com . We will require a good mix of older Solid State machines, along with the 90s and current DMDs/LCDs

A list of available machines for the tournaments will be provided closer to the event.

Hey mates,

We thought some people might be wondering who and what BPAC is.

BPAC stands for the Brisbane Pinball & Arcade Collective Inc and is comprised of representatives of the local gaming venues, and pinball and arcade players in Brisbane. While we would love to have include everybody in the committee we feel we have included a good representation of the local scene.

Committee Members:

Jimmy Nails - President

Vincent Kemp - Secretary

Jason Lambert - Treasurer

Scott Barber

Jon Tannahill

Tanya Lowe

David Lowe

Benjamin Nichols

Chris Wade

Stephen Holmes

Babak Hadi

Hugh Dickson

David James

First and foremost we would like to express that BPAC is an incorporated association. Meaning it is a not-for-profit enterprise and all proceeds from sponsorship, entry fees, coin drop and merchandise go either directly into the prize pool or operating costs of the event.

Every single person on the list above and any volunteer you will see at the event is giving their time, some of them hundreds of hours, freely for the sole purpose of promoting and expanding what we all love so dearly: Brisbane's world class competitive pinball and arcade scene.

The goals of the incorporated association as agreed at our inaugural meeting are:

- To promote, produce and advance competitive pinball, arcade, and classic gaming competitions throughout Australia

- To elevate the awareness and visibility of pinball, arcade, and classic gaming across Australia and to try generate media coverage and exposure in a fun and positive manner

- To honestly, transparently, and fairly use the funds raised for the sole purpose of running events

- To run events in a professional manner adhering to the International Flipper and Pinball Association (IFPA) suggested formats, guides and rules

- Where possible, to raise funds through donations and sponsorship to aid in providing high prize pools, prizes, and celebrity guests to enhance the players’ experience

- To offer any donated pinball or arcade machines to hospitals within the Brisbane region

- To donate potential excess funds to local charities within Australia

- To use potential excess funds to help local pinball and arcade players compete in competitions around the world

This year we have been incredibly fortunate to have been offered an amazing major sponsorship from Hutchinson Builders. From discussions with Hutcho's and within the committee we have decided to this year to spend a portion of the money on flying over some arcade and pinball celebrities from the USA.

We feel this will firstly enhance the player experience and give many attendees the chance to meet people they have been watching play pinball and arcades for decades, but also aid in getting the worlds attention of what we are doing here in Brisbane. In future years we aim to direct event funds towards enhancing the experience of local players, but we would be remiss to not take the unique opportunity that Hutchinson has presented us to make the first year of the BPAC showcase as impactful as possible.

We also have some minor sponsor to thank too:

- Netherworld are sponsoring The Australian Kong Off 3

- 1 Up Arcade are sponsoring The Australian Arcade Championships

- AMD are sponsoring the Brisbane Pinball Masters

- Game The System are sponsoring the Classic Target Matchplay and Flip Frenzy

We hope everyone is excited about the BPAC Showcase and we can't wait to announce the guests we’ll have attending!

Big love, the BPAC massive

Hey mates. Just a note that the entire BPAC Showcase is OPEN TO ALL AGES though there will be a couple of stipulations.

The Stockmans Bar next to the pinball and arcade space is closed to under 18's after 8pm each night. BUT, any paid up junior players are able to stay in the gaming area post 8pm provided they have a guardian and are wearing a wrist band.

Netherworld will also be giving special consideration to junior players that week and allow under 18's competitors in to the venue for the Brisbane Pinball Club on the Wednesday night.

Huzzah!

Hey mates

Just in preparation for the 10 Day Zipper Pass going on sale Tuesday that includes all major and side pinball comps, I thought I would break down the cost of the other events so you can get a clear view of the savings.

Basically, the full cost for all the main and side pinball comps would be $365 or $395 if you play in the women's comp (not including coin drop for the Pump & Dump or buy ins for the Stall Ball Cup).

The Zipper Pass gives you all main and side pinball comps for $300 (excluding coin drop for the Pump & Dump or buy ins for the Stall Ball Cup) plus a Brisbane Masters t-shirt, limited edition pin and a bunch of swag from our sponsors.

9th - Pump & Dump - $10 (coin drop extra)

10th - Classics Pinball - $40

10th - Classic Flip Frenzy - $30

11th - Fair Strikes - $30

11th - Split Flipper - $10

12th - Pincadia Mini Matchplay - $15

13th - Brisbane Pinball Club at Netherworld - $15

14th - Tweed/Coolangatta Pinball Club - $20

15th - Herb Warm Up - $50

15th - 3 Strikes - $20

16th - QUEENS-Land Womens Championshp - $30

16th - Random Pairs Side Comp - $10

17th - Masters - $75

17th - Stall Ball Cup - $10 (plus buy for each game)

18th - Closing Party Flip Frenzy - $30

As for the amount of tickets available, The Zipper pass is limited to 60 as that is the maximum amount of tickets available for the Classics Flip Frenzy. All other comps can handle around 150 players.

Just a reminder too folks that every event entry fee includes one free gate pass for the Ekka showgrounds.

If you have any other questions let me know mates.
