Calibrate Monitor in New Astro City

mtn

Question

Hey folks - I'm not sure I've asked this before, but is there any chance this can get fixed without completely dismounting the chassis and sending it somewhere? Otherwise, is there anyone around the Sydney/Northern Beaches area who does on-site repairs/calibrations?

Thanks in advance!

Quiet in here this week...

The red bleed might be caused by a tube in need of some restoration or rejuventation, or it might be cause by an IK feedback issue. An IK feedback issue might be to do with the neckboard components, or could even be fixed by recapping the deflection and flyback supply sections. I don't know enough about the way the Nanao's are made to tell you any sure fix, it might be completely unrelated to the above.

If all this is Greek to you, send it to Jomac.

simple things to check first

check video ground strap on tube is connected to chassis on neck board

check video ground is connected on jamma harness

try adjusting the rgb bias pots and brightness/ contrast

if issue still there more than likely a chassis fault or tube low on emission

With a bit of messing around it looks like the blue colour channel is unaffected which is interesting. I have shot Jomac an email to see if it needs a recap. Might consider pulling and reseating the chassis which I haven't done since I sent it off to Jomac 3 years ago.
