Being held at the Little Beans Play Cafe in Port Pirie!

Facebook for the venue:

Tuesday afternoon event. (2nd of October)

We will need at least 4 entrants for the events to go ahead. There is also a limit to how many players we can accommodate for this series of events, we have a soft cap of around 20 players.

Best Game (Highest Score) for qualifying over 3 hours. Elimination finals for each event follow Best Game qualifying.

Entry for the series of events will be $10. This covers game costs and prizes, machines will be set "Free Play" for entrants. Players can enter any one of the four single events for $5 if they wish. Entering all four events would see entrants play probably at least 10 games during the 3 hour qualifying period. The top 50% (or top 8, whichever is less) play in a short final and may take home some prizemoney. Prize pool will be based on 50% of the entry fees for each event.

Walk in entry with no registration required. However, it would be very helpful with our planning if players could please express interest by contacting Amy at Little Beans directly, or posting to this thread.

We hope to see you there!!

These events have all been IFPA approved and are up on the IFPA calendar.

The ideas behind these events are all geared towards promotion and warm-up to the Bowland SA Masters.

We're hoping to take advantage of the school holidays, and introduce kids to pinball by basically giving them all the pinball they can play in three hours. With a bit of luck, hopefully we can have some of them and their parents interested enough to take part in the comps over the weekend.

It's also an opportunity for locals who have thoughts on playing in the main weekend comps to get an easy introduction in to how pinny comps work.

Further, many locals who are not IFPA qualified (played five events or more) will be able to use these opportunities to become IFPA qualified, and help beef up the pot of the main comps.

This in turn may influence some more players from the Adelaide contingent to rock up to Port Pirie for a fun weekend of pinny's.

Unless either myself or Ray play in these comps, it's likely that many of them will attract zero WPPR points.

It's not about WPPR's, however it would be great to see anyone from Adelaide who is available, to help add to these events with your participation, and encouragement of the Port Pirie locals. Or maybe just to lend Ray a hand with setting up.

There are twenty more events to be held at Bowland Port Pirie (71B Esmond Rd) over the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Oct https://www.aussiearcade.com/showthread.php/95590-Bowland-Fun-Events-2nd-4th-October

Looking forward to it.

Cheers,

G
