Retro table top Power plugs

Recommended Posts

I have an old collection of table top games that all take battery, but have the option to take plug in power.

Games include

Safari by Bambino

Caveman by Futuretronics

Alien Chase by Tomy

Pacman by Futuretronics

Frogger by Futuretronics

Invader 2000 by Gakken

Top list look require a female power plug, while the bottom list requires a male power plug.

Question is, what power specifications should i look for in the plugs? Would a 240V - 50/60hz be what i am after or something different?

I don't know anything about Table Top games, but I would assume that they would require a DC voltage equal to or slightly higher than the total battery voltage. eg. if the unit takes 4 x 1.5 volt AA batteries, then a plug in adapter should supply around 6 volt.

Why not calculate it from the battery requirements? Also they normally have the requirements printed or moulded inside the battery compartment or near the power input.
