    So Series 1

    Round 1 comp, then social

    Round 3 comp, then Social

Round 4 final for Series 1, then comp for Series 2, then social.

    for Series 3

Round 10 hosts both Series 3 finals & Grand Final.

Players were 'abusing' this rule for a couple of years now. I meant to announce the change after series 1 last year when The Walking Dead was over-played during that series final .
come to think of it, so was Joker Poker
Even more time for socialising @Firepower!!
I was thinking about maybe having a flip frenzy at mine but how many machines do you need for one?

There is a formula for how many machines you need.

Essentially 2 for each machine and then some extra in the queue.

Based on the numbers of the people who actually come I would say you would have enough.

Do you have space for more?

    Good idea by the way.

Right, so adding an extra finals competition to every third meeting provides extra socialising - thanks so much for clearing that up

Totally agree seems less socialising time and more for the points chasers.

It's a shame we keep getting more comps forced on us to suit the few point chasers. Every meet features a comp round and three meets now have an additional comp final. The running of the comps dominates the nights. People can say what they like about it not being comp focused but these changes keep pushing that way.
I agree with you Dave good point.

I think it's tough for the organisers as a lot of people are there solely for the comps

I'm there for the socialising & just checking out and playing a wide variety of games but feel this year I will be more comp orientated for once

Each to his/her own....just enjoy it. Despite any occasional comp-related hiccups from some of the more serious young insects along the way, I can say hand-on heart that I've loved every Wildball meet I've attended in the last 3 years. Awesome hosts opening up their homes and sharing their machines with a great bunch of people...that's the spirit that has pervaded all along, whether you're slugging it out in the comp , just horsing aound, whatever. Fun is king and I can't see that changing.See y'all soon !

I recall some guy playing an awful lot of Metallica at one of those finals too.

I havent been in wildball from the start but was there a time when there were no comps at all? I have only played since there has been "play 6 machines and get ranked against other players"
