Smithy
Hi all, I'm messing around with an ACDC pin and it has a cannon issue. It moves about one inch to the left then stops and will only move more when I hit the flippers to create vibrations to get it moving again. It's not touching or binding on anything top or bottom as I've checked this thoroughly. While its trying to move the cannon the small electric motor is still active but nothing else is moving. No grub screws or anything is loose with the mech that I can see externally. So I'm thinking its the gears inside the gearbox looking mech but not really sure. Has anybody else had this issue and can offer some insight please ? Cheers

Smithy
Thank you for the word on the new ACDC motor gentlemen. Bought a new one from RTBB and as usual excellent service from them. Ordered it Friday arvo and it arrived Tuesday morning, can't ask for much better than that. Installed in game and working perfectly. Happy times :D
Budgie
Did you have much trouble installing the cannon ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Smithy
Did you have much trouble installing the cannon ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Take out two small phillips head screws and loosen the 2.5mm allen head grub screw and motor comes out fairly easily. Just beware there is a small white plastic washer between the cannon motor and it's mounting plate. When I took the old motor off this little part fell out and was lost in the wiring harness for half an hour before I eventually found it. Easy to reinstall new motor, just line it all up and whack it in. So don't drop that small white plastic washer and it's all gravy.

Had to get a mini blow torch onto it to loosen it up! Then I stripped the hex grub screw, etc. Nightmare! One of the most frustrating jobs I've had to tackle in pinball repair... Well done to you.
