Ultimarc Ipac 4 - How do I map cab buttons that arent on the board?

Recommended Posts

I bought a custom cab, and have no experience with Arcade hardware. It runs an Ipac4, and the buttons through the Ultimarc WinPAC software are mapped correctly but theres additional buttons that arent available to be mapped through WinPAC.

These are the other buttons on my cab that dont work:

  • Select
  • Exit
  • L Click
  • R Click
  • Pinball flipper L & R
  • Pinball spring

How would I map these?

In joytokey bind those buttons to something random and otherwise unused, like the physical button labelled "select" to keypad 8 or something, then in whichever emulator, bind keypad 8 to do what you want then physical button to do. That's if the emulator won't bind the button press directly.

EDIT:... remembering that if the emulator in question is a MAME variant, you need to open mame.ini (or whichever sub.ini you're using like neogeo.ini) and set "keyboardprovider dinput". Otherwise MAME won't see the inputs from Joytokey or other similar programs.
