Off grid solar power system

Does anyone know where I can get info on

Off grid solar with battery systems and how to work out the figures?

 

I can read on screen batteries that do 13kwh but how many solar panels do I need to fully recharge the battery in a 24hour period if it's fully discharged?

 

Not interested in companies that want all my personal info first.

 

Ie my peaks ATM are around 16 kWh.

Looking at peaks of around 20kwh.

Whirlpool has bit of info under greentech.

 

My usage is similar to yours.

The system I`m getting is

 

68 x Suntech or Jinko 325 watt solar panels, 22Kw

3 x SMA SI8.OH Battery Inverters in 3 Phase,

1 x SMA Sunny Tripower 20Kw 3 phase Solar Inverter

24 x Sunking FLA HLH19 2 volt batteries, 1300 Amp hr

 

Have a back up generator for bad weather.

Depending on generator usage after first year I might double up on batteries if needed.

It is a cheap system but at least I will have 3phase.

Go to your local Tafe see if they run solar courses, get some contacts name they may even give you a free price on scaling what you want.

I've lived off grid since 1997 You obviously are a newcomer to solar So check out someone like Nimbin Solar Co or an independent company Don't talk to electricity suppliers because they just put power back in the grid Get someone who does off grid Whole different industry
