Taito Speed Race Bypass capacitor value.

Recommended Posts

I have been having a little trouble establishing what value this cap is.

The markings on it are ".1 10 0R"

I think it's a bypass cap running of VCC off bank 7. I took it down to Jaycar and they couldn't identify it, so they sold me their (and my) best guess, 2A104J 100V 0.1uF. Does that seem right? I'm not keen on playing the guessing game with this thing.

Cheers, someone sent that my way earlier. It seems more in-depth documentation for this one doesn't exist. 0.1uF seems to be a standard value for this sort of thing as far as I can see, plus they look like 100v jobs...

0.1uf or 100nf same thing as long as the rated voltage is above your supply voltage you should be good to go. They're known as greencaps or Polyester capacitors.

Cheers Trev
