Some pics from the weekend.

15 hours straight pinball on Saturday, 9 hours on Sunday. Even Emily said her arms were sore. I’m shattered!

Thanks to Holly and Lambo and Pete and Jamin and everyone else that makes this possible.

Thanks everyone, especially the organisers, for a great weekend!

Competitions were played in a good spirit with lots of laughs.

Photo is of a pinball champ, deep in concentration. :lol

The 2019 Cooly Classic weekend is now in the books. Here's hoping everyone enjoyed themselves on what was a big weekend :D Yes the machines were set up pretty tough, we'd still be playing if they weren't! But hopefully they were fair for all. Thankfully we had next to major issues with any of the games, outside of a few small minor glitches/switch/flipper problems, which happens at all events.

Prize winners for each event were as follows:

1. Peter Watt (N.S.W.)

2. Michael Costalos (Sth. Aust.)

=3. Travis Bishop

=3. Kim Dozier (N.Z.)

5. Curtis Sahariv (N.S.W.)

6. Jason Lambert

Cooly 3-Strikes (70 players)

1. Mitchell Setschnjak

2. Michi Henning

=3. John Cosson

=3. Emily Cosson

=5. Dirk Booy

=5. Paul Jones (N.S.W.)

=7. Zack Foster

=2. Peter Watt (N.S.W.)

4. Jason Lambert

5. Logan Jones

6. Charlie Sykes (N.Z.)

7. Roland Kaegi

8. Gino Thimios

Australian Women's Championship (20 players)

=2. Luke French

=4. Peter Watt (N.S.W.) (+8)

=4. Nicolas Noben

=6. Paul Jones (N.S.W.) (+7, 13 wins)

=6. Michael Cannon

Frenzy wooden spoon - Alana Kelly (-19)

Most matches played (player) - Kim Dozier (22)

Most matches played (machine) - Aerosmith (31)

As always, I must send a huge thank you to everyone who attended any or all of the events over the 3 days, especially to those who traveled far and wide to get here. Without any of the players supporting these events, they simply don't happen. The spirit in which the weekend was played in was exemplary and nothing short of amazing. An even bigger shout out must go to the following - of which helped make the event run so smoothly:

* Fellow Tournament director - Hollie Mills - From organising the machines & trophies, to sorting out prize payouts and more, you are an absolute legend!

* Venue - Timezone, Jamin & staff were extremely accommodating as always. Russell & the tech crew all deserve a big shout out for getting the machines in order for us.

* Machine providers - Timezone, Simon Baird, John Cosson, Tony Woods, Russell, Luke & Hollie, Peter Watt

* All who helped with scoring over the 3 days. Was great to see so many people put their hands up to assist, which took a huge load of our shoulders!

* Luke, Peter, & Timezone staff for machine set up. I think the general consensus was that the set up was better than previous years.

I would like to get feedback from as many people as possible about the weekend (PM's pereferred). Positive and negative feedback is all welcome. Format tweaks, timing tweaks, or more, I'd like to hear from you :) The plan is to see the Cooly Classic back again in 2020, and hoping to release news about it soon.

Thank you all for a memorable weekend! - Lambo

Thanks all for the organization and participation in yet another Stella Cooly Classic.

Highlight for me was doing the worst I've ever done over the whole weekend of a major pinny tournament, however in the context of dummy spitting, only saying an audible 'fuck' once.

How fucking good is that :o.

Cheers,

G

Something I hope to see you rectify at the Masters.
