PLO-80Y
Hi Guys, this is my first post. I am restoring a Daytona USA cabinet and have converted to LCD monitors. I used the GBS8200 or HD9800 video converters and its giving me trouble. As the machine starts the colour is great although about 5 mins in, the screen starts to turn pink and progressively gets more and more pink. I have tried adjusting the colours on the board but cant seem to get it right. If I switch the machine off and on straight away the board resets and colour is back to normal. Do you guys have any suggestions? Is there another board I can purchase instead of the $20 ebay ones? Thanks in advance Danny
Ryan555
You get what you pay for with converters. While I have not used this converter I have used other Cypress converters in the past and found them to be good. https://www.cyp.com.au/cm-397m-cga-ycbcr-to-vga-scaler As for the one you brought looks like others have had a similar issue. http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=75451&page=4 http://www.ukvac.com/forum/gonbe-gbs8200-8220-turn-pink-on-ega_topic351896.html https://stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13090
Lou
nothing wrong with the boards, you need to set the clamp st to around 56 and clamp sp to about 09 in the board menu
