V-Tech Socrates Educational game system thing

Recommended Posts

Powered by the ubiquitous Zilog Z80 processor, the V-Tech Socrates is an educational TV game from 1988 that rocked an infra-red controller & keyboard, and featured lots of colourful games for kids to play. Released largely only in America, it's rather uncommon to see one in Australia - especially boxed & complete like this.

This unit includes everything that originally came with the retail box, including the keyboard controller, manual, foam & plastic inserts and the Socrates system itself. Also has an American PSU to save you needing to use batteries (6x D-Cells in case you're wondering), but will need a step-down to use (or find an equivalent Australian 12v wall plug to use!).

Unit and keyboard has been tested and runs great. Box is in good shape, with some minor damage and writing on the back.

(yeah, that's a copy/paste of my eBay listing. hah)

$70 posted AU wide.
