millsy56
I’m just using the normal software that comes with he laptop that I’m using and I’ve gone through all the tabs including the advanced settings and there isn’t any option that says use default image size. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Are you running Windows 10 ? Go to windows accessories, open Paint program, Print, Go to Page Set Up, select Portrait, select ADJUST TO 100% NORMAL SIZE. Now print and see how you go.

Think I’ve just about sorted it out, in the printer settings that I was using if I set the photo size to full page and then did a test print it was almost spot on Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Rob1966
Time to get some of the metal work restored on this old girl https://i.imgur.com/fb3KRZj.jpg https://i.imgur.com/1RQgpYB.jpg The same parts picked up today from the powder coaters including a new backbox cover from Jeff @Railways https://i.imgur.com/bU4UfJA.jpg The newly restored top apron with the replacement manafactures certificate that I printed up on matte finish sticker paper to match the original, also newly installed rebound bracket and rubber and new ballgate all from PBR https://i.imgur.com/pJ4gBs6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/AtvCrQl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pU9zON0.jpg I’ve still got to apply the new apron decal that I purchased from pinball rescue so more updates to come shortly https://i.imgur.com/tBptk9u.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
femto
That looks really nice. Can I ask how much powder coating costs? How much for the apron for example?
kimbleseven
Rebound bracket and ballgate. I cant find them on PBR. Had no idea they sell them Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk

Everything you see pictured and the plunger indicator that isn’t in the pictures that was also done was a total cost of $160 and that included them taking them to someone else to get sandblasted. ajfclark
Rebound bracket and ballgate. I cant find them on PBR. Had no idea they sell them Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk Whenever you can't find something on PBR and it's a Gottlieb part, especially if you know the part number, email them. There's loads and loads of stuff not listed easily on their website. Like the little rubber grommets that sit at the top of the channel on the drop target mechs, GTB-986. There is a reference to those on the website (http://www.pbresource.com/news.html, search for 986 for the story) but you get the idea. I've got whole score reels and other bits and pieces I needed before.
Rob1966
Just another step crossed off the list of things to do, all the newly powder coated parts have now been finished and are ready to go on once playfield is done. All the parts just after getting powder coated https://i.imgur.com/5PDx7W4.jpg The apron ready for the pinball rescue decal https://i.imgur.com/2SzHLr6.jpg Apron and shooter rod indicator with to new decals fitted https://i.imgur.com/MIOAp53.jpg All the parts finished except I’ve got something I’m thinking about doing with the backbox cover so stay tuned https://i.imgur.com/ThnC87d.jpg https://i.imgur.com/1VJn10g.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
kimbleseven
The pinball rescue apron looks great. How long did Gottlieb put the balls in play lights on the apron? Dont see that much. I remember 1966 Central Park had the actual pinballs in a slot of the apron. Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk

I remember 1966 Central Park had the actual pinballs in a slot of the apron. Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk I would have to say early to mid 60s that the 5 balls with the viewing window for balls played were around, as my 1962 Gotlieb Covergirl has that then the 1968 Funland has the single ball but has the balls played lights in the apron card holder, then late 60s to early 70s started the balls played up in the backglass with all the other features. Below are all the apron decals that you can purchase right here in Australia from pinball rescue. http://www.pinballrescue.net/Decals_Apron_Gottlieb.html Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Rob1966
I will order one for centigrade. Great result. Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk I’m stoked with the end results and I was a bit nervous when I went to install it but it was really easy you just have to make sure everything is really clean first, then spray the painted apron and the sticky part of the decal with soapy water, and use the supplied squeegee and part of the sticker backing paper to get all the air and excess water out. Rob1966
It’s been a long wait but more than worth it the new backglass for my Funland resto has finally arrived and to say I’m happy with it is an understatement. https://i.imgur.com/KZ5VGfR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6pC5HwI.jpg Check out the colour differences between the new glass and the old, the new glass just pops with its colours. Oh well just have to get the motivation to get stuck into the rest of it now, I’ve done very little on it lately because I’ve had so much family issues come up and this was the least of my priorities. https://i.imgur.com/uktk1xR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3X1auZ6.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
kimbleseven
The reds and yellows really stand out on it now. Looks amazing. Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk
namastepat
It's strange how much the reds faded on the girl's dress, motorbike and gun targets, but not as much on other things, like the girl on the scooter or the man watching. I wonder what causes some reds to fade more than others. It's always red that fades the first, but not equally in this case.

Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk Yeah it’s a big difference isn’t it the original was so faded I couldn’t bear to put it in the restored machine, that’s why this is the first time the machine as it sits has had a back glass in it. I don’t know why the reds and yellows fade so much more than the other colours it must be something to do with the pigments in those colours, and as far as the different areas fading more I think that’s got to do with those areas having the heat from the globes behind them aswell. Rob1966
Whats left on the to do list for funland? Sent from my GT-I9305T using Tapatalk Still a fair bit actually Have to touch up the paint under where the pop bumpers are or make some decals to stick down to cover the damage not sure which way to go yet. And the playfield needs to be completely reassembled and flippers rebuilt. Playfield waxed Wood pieces for the playfield guides re lacquered All the contacts have to be cleaned and adjusted still Have to visit the local glazier to get a new playfield glass made up. And there are a few more things on the list as well Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Rob1966
Yeah baby steps every little thing that you do is one step closer I never intended this to be a quick restoration as every part of the thing needed restoring not just a tidy up, I’ve already lost count of how much money I’ve put into it for parts and power coating and I may still get some nickel plating done like I did with the Covergirl restore. But it’s worth it when you see the end results of a wreck ending up looking like it just left the factory.
