SPURR
Most guy's prefer pins in there original state, sorry not me. I bought this pin in poor condition so I fully pulled it down, cleaned it all up, mylared the playfield, serviced all the circuit boards and fully overhauled all the mechanicals. Most of the plastics were broken and were hard to get. I bought a few new one's that were available, the other plastics I made myself using original movie images. For the SOUND I replaced both head speakers with Pioneer's 5" and 4" (both full range). The cabinate got a 12" woofer and the original speaker I crossed it over as a mid range speaker. Speaker grills were air brushed to look more like eyes. Parts that added were: Chrome flippers, T2 miniature models, Real mirror blades, I had a customised T2 translite made, Polished stainless head hinges, All new targets, posts and rubbers, a mixture of bulbs and led's were added. It plays and sounds awesome! I just finished a Dirty Harry pin which I will post up soon. Glenn70
Mate the playfield looks great. Really like some of those customised plastics and also the toys you've added. I have a real soft spot for T2 as loved the terminator movies as a teenager and one day I would be keen to restore one. Thanks for sharing your work. Autosteve
Mate I like the fact you did make your own parts rather than just pull out the check book. Undoing and replacing with bought brand new parts is one thing but making and restoring is in a totally different league in my opinion. Kudos to you for making a true custom that is better than original.
