poidapoida
Had these cabs for a while now, they were both working when I picked them up but they were in need of a rewire and clean up. With the blue cab I was hoping to strip the paint and bring back the woodgrain. Paint came off easily with just a steel scraper but unfortunately the veener was ruined as it had been prepped for the last paint job wit an orbital sander WTF! So a few coats of black, a new control panel, thanks @redferatu and and overlay from @MamePatrol. It has Tekken 3 PCB and and a multi that I use mainly for Wonderboy and Ghost and Goblins. The woodgrain cab was just a clean and rewire with new CP and CPO as well. Its got Gyruss and Time Pilot PCBs in it and I did put in a Monoroe joystick initially but that didn't last long. I had never used a Monroe before and just couldn't get used to it, so in went a trusty MCA.
redferatu
I don't remember doing this by the way. I bought one of the panels though. Sent from my HTC 2PZF1 using Tapatalk

stuzza
Great work on bringing those old lowboys back to life! Good to see others who also like to have their cabs in nice cosmetic condition. Well done!

poidapoida
[MENTION=535]Love dem low boys. Great work on bringing those old lowboys back to life! Would like a wall of lowboys in the games room one day What do you do to set up two pcbs in one machine to control them? I did look at some Jamma switchers but the $$ weren’t worth it IMO. The boards stay in the cab and I just manually switch the connector, it helps that the lowboys internals are easy to access.
R3tro381
Looks great, I'm still hunting for a couple of LAI cabs. I remember playing a woodgrain one at the fish and chip shop......

Crafty
I really like lowboy cabinet's. They are so easy to move, access internal's, clean up etc etc etc. Well done on giving these the love they deserve :)
tevo
Very nice restos. Got to love that Woodgrain. I’ve always liked these little cabs too. I picked one up for $100 a few weeks ago. Non working monitor. Was just a dirty connector and came back to life with Has the LAI paperwork in it stating model number etc. Just having a hard time finding the Woodgrain the LAI yellow and orange striped control panel. That’s a good pickup for $100 and you can just get the control panel overlay reproduced.
