NBN for Gaming - Little Help

interested to hear from anyone on the nbn

especially when it comes to online gaming and live streaming

i'm just looking at signing up to the nbn and wonder if anyone has feedback for me

I'm with internode (or iiNet depending on which branch of marketing is sending me stuff).

I'm on a gold plan, 50 down, 20 up. I get around 47 down 19 up:

I stream on twitch and it works fine.

That said, I'm in the country so there's potentially less congestion on the node I'm on than you'd find elsewhere.

I'm in Hobart on FTTP, with internode 100/40, so i love it. Launtel are offering gigabit plans for business, so it won't be long before residential mb. The main probs in Tassie are routing in Melb and occasional infrastructure upgrades in the north of the state, but it doesn't really matter which ISP you're with down here for that stuff.

My case is far from the norm, i believe. There was a thread on here a few weeks back, and a lot of people complained about being forced onto NBN, suffering delays getting it, contention and other things.
