LED Replacement for Bally Stern Pinball 6 Digit display - Lot of 5 units - New (unused)

A lot of 5 units are for sale in this listing.

Designed and manufactured in Australia, this display unit will replace the Bally A5-2518-21 and Stern A-434 6-digit displays used on many machines from approximately 1977 to 1986. Parts used in this assembly have been sourced through reliable channels to ensure highest quality.

These unit comes fully assembled. No soldering is required. No modifications are needed to your pinball machine. They use only the 5-volt supply. The high voltage supply is not used. This means this display will operate even if the high voltage circuitry is faulty or has been disabled. Will work fine with the high-voltage still operational, so may be used with a mix of old and new displays.

A careful selection of modern components has been made to reduce the part count with an eye to increasing the long term reliability.

$320 for lot of 5 displays. Free Australia wide postage. Three year warranty.

Multiple lots available.

Awesome stuff @Tangles

Will PM you with my order, but first just a couple of questions...

1. Does the colour closely simulate the original in real life? Dunno if it's the photos or my computer but they look to be a touch on the yellow side?

2. Will you be looking at potentially making other colour versions? Whether it be via different colour displays, or utilising white displays with 'gels' or coloured transparent vinyl as some other manufacturers do?

Otherwise, i'm stoked. Can't wait to order. Nice work.

Thank you for your comments.

The LEDs are very similar but differ in brightness (I have designed to be a little brighter than the original for a modest "pop" ) and slightly in colour: they are a little on the yellow side. Matching LED displays with original is not a perfect match but in my opinion OK. I recommend replacing all with LEDs and the result is then very pleasing.

I have no plans for gels. I will be producing blue units in the near future.
