Game and Watch DK issue

Recommended Posts

Have a seemingly dead Donkey Kong game and wondering what else can be looked at / done to repair.

Already opened, checked/ cleaned the battery holders, and Getty good 3.15v.

Is it “dead” or can something be done to bring back to life?

Am gonna go through my collection.

Not a lot you can do unfortunately other than check the caps and the pins on IC to see if any have lifted and maybe the xtal.

The most common issues with these are battery leakage and poloriser for the LCD if the game is playing blind or very faint.

I see motherboards for these come up now and again in fact I think I "may" have a couple for this game in a lot of spares I bought a few years back.

I'll have a check.
