Glenn70
I didn't know whether to start a new thread, add to the thread of @Cool Smiley, or post mod pics into my 'New Pin Day' thread. Either way, I thought best if I just start a new one for all GOTG mods. I have already posted some pics under 'My New Pin Day' thread but will post here also. Just put my Baby Groot figurine onto the PF. Total cost was just over $5 (incl postage) off eBay from China. I made a small circle/hook with a longer rod piece to insert up Baby Groot's leg (pre drilled home of course). It's a standard wire coat hanger and I sprayed in black. I know Baby Groot is from the 2nd movie but all the same franchise I guess and my kids wanted him on the PF. - - - Updated - - - $15 topper! - - - Updated - - - Key ring for $5....... - - - Updated - - - I have of course put mirror blades on and updated the internal leg brackets...... Also removed some plain white frosted GI globes for blue and reds around the lane guides near flippers, slingshots & under side plastics. Looks better with the colours now. - - - Updated - - - Have ordered these three mods from Mezel also. I just need a more colourful instruction card, but the card on the right I replaced. - - - Updated - - - And the ugly factory metal washers with clear MET plastic washers from @BioBa.
Shock_And_Awe
A nice simple mod done very neatly. Looks factory. You've reminded me I need to replace the leg bolt brackets on my AS.

Glenn70
My 3 GOTG mods arrived from Mezel and now fitted - Groot mouth light (green), scoop light (blue) and the orb stone. Really looks great and install very easy. Unfortunately my Baby Groot figurine I purchased ($39) a few weeks ago dropped and broke as it was constructed of PVC.......... But there is a good side to it, as his head came off very cleanly meaning I made a shooter rod out of it. The genuine GOTG Groot Stern shooter rods are about $140, so I used a spare and original shooter rod I removed from GB when I got the GB custom one last year. I drilled a hole on baby Groot's head underneath and used good quality adhesive to fit the end of the rod into it. Turned out very well. Now to fit to machine. Glenn70
Awesome mods :) great idea with the shooter rod to. Thanks Pete. Just fitted to machine. I just hope the adhesive holds as my WCS94 soccer ball on the shooter rod kept working it's way loose.
Glenn70
Aagin, thanks to @BioBa for the 6V LED strip. Green lighting behind ramps but I had to make two brackets to screw on at the rear. Also trough light strip too. All hooked into the GI. Very happy.

Glenn70
Have been working on some toys for the topper. This is Star Lord's gun I have just completed tonight after many hours painting. Will make a small bracket to mount it on tomorrow and fix on headbox. (I got some advice from You Tube) Have been working on a Star Lord mask also but will also need to fit this to the head box. Made up some LED's in small boxes I sourced from Jaycar and ran the wires in 6mm expandable braided sleeving. This will hook into the GI lighting. Last thing was to install some adhesive velcro (soft part) along the top of the front cab timber to protect the glass after I noticed some small scratches it from removing and re-fitting few times. @KJS gave me this idea as he has this on his machines. Great idea.
Glenn70
Just made up a small mounting bracket for the gun (10mm dowel and bent coat hanger). Sprayed it black, then used hot glue gun to stick it inside the gun after drilling small hole underneath. Used an original topper screw that was in the head box already. Topper all done for about $95! (blu-tack used so nothing permanent). I feel like a little boy again tinkering with kids toys! There is something rewarding building and modifying items yourself at home to add to a pinball machine. Mrs thinks she is married to a man boy, but my kids love it. Glenn70
Changed the trough light to a blue strip LED instead of the green. Much more suited to game colours near the flippers.
Glenn70
Final mod for this game (but I have said that before). Star Lord's Sony Walkman. I have tried to replicate it as best I could and have placed it up the back left corner of the play field using a small wire bracket I made and painted black. Glenn70
Thanks to @DallasJ for visiting on the weekend and giving me a GOTG Milano Ship. After some thought, I mounted it on the lower right ramp. Pretty easy - removed the small screw holding the ramp in place, then with a spare hex post and bolt (cut into 2 pieces) to form a mounting post for the ship to sit on. I then used supa glue to stick the top part of the bolt to underneath the toy and mount. The hex post holds the ramp in place and all up, looks pretty good, and glass just clears it by about 3mm! Mezel Mods sell this exact toy with a small red LED for $45 USD + postage. With such a colourful and wonderfully lit up play field, I didn't think a small red LED would have too much impact anyway, so just mounted the ship on it's own. Glenn70
I am at it again. Wanted to secure the toys better instead of blutac as they were wobbling and sometimes fell off. So I came up with an idea of using a MDF timber 'carpet ramp', carpet layers use to bring the carpet up to a level to match other flooring (tiles, timber, etc). I have no idea what the correct term is for this piece of timber but 'carpet ramp' sounds ok. I used the 12mm ramp (only comes in 8mm or 12 mmm) and cut the 1.2M in half to give me 2 x 600mm lengths. I then applied 3 x coats of satin black enamel (spray can) and fixed (screws & glue) the toys. Stuck some adhesive tabs underneath to protect the head box surface and screwed the timber piece down using the 2 x factory screws at the front. Came up pretty well for GOTG. Next will be GB when my new ECTO-1 car arrives. I guess this is simple way anyone can attach toys or topper items to their machine without drilling or modifying the machine.
