Not sure if this post fits under restoration, general pinball or just crazy ideas!

 

 

 

Stupidity aside, wonder if magnetism would be a good way to hover a ball across and above (a few mm off) the playfield?

 

thoughts?

It takes lots of current to do it with the weight of the ball.

Playfields don't like magnets in general.

Similar things are out there.

That's pretty cool. There's a lot of fun to be had with magnets and pinball is a great example of the different ways they can be used.

 

Love the guy in the video, too. He's an electrical safety guru!

 

If only there was an easy way to repurpose my totally destroyed coils...
