Crane National Vending Machine & Note Reader

So, I've got a Crane National 167 vending machine, and picked up a Mars ZT1103AU note reader.

Any chance these can be made to play nice together, and specifically, how to do so?

Anyone have any experience with either of these components?

I know there was a guy that used to sell Mars coin and note mechs on Ebay, I sent him a message about a Mars coin mech when I was going to site one of my machines,

He told me that some machines will only accept certain coin mech models, like you could not just grab a coin mech and throw it in, it might be the same for note readers.

Cant remember who he was, he was really helpful and pointed me in the right direction, might be worth checking out some of the sellers on Ebay Aus it doesn't hurt to ask.
